Naya Goreto in joint collaboration with Pragati youth club, Sewa is conducting General Health camp as well as Intensified TB case finding among the vulnerable groups of TB, HIV and other communicable diseases. The program will be conducted at Vidhya Punja Madhyamik Bidhyalaya in Lamatar VDC, Lalitpur. The program is intended to provide free health check up services to the local people of that area and other peripheral areas. Further the people who are marginally deprived, vulnerable and poor sections of the society who are not able to afford proper health services will be primarily focused. Further an Intensified TB case finding will be conducted at the same time where people vulnerable to TB and other communicable diseases will be diagnosed of their status. Thus Naya Goreto has intended to serve the poor, marginalized and vulnerable section of that society for enhancing their health status and motivate them to check up their health status on regular basis. Further, the people who are living with tuberculosis which is a major communicable disease will be diagnosed so that it's spread will be halted among other community people as well as increasing the number of TB cases among the general people.

Naya Goreto will also commence TB infection control program to the Female Community Health Volunteers of 20 terai and mid hills districts of Nepal covering four development regions of Nepal except the Western Development region. The major objective of the Infection control program is to impart knowledge to the FCHV's of 20 districts on the control measures of Tuberculosis among the general public as well as adopting safety behaviors for curbing the spread of Tuberculosis among the volunteers as well as the general people. The program will also impart information on the objectives of the National Tuberculosis programme and the goals that it aims to achieve by 2015 with special attention to the Millenium Development Goals. Further, 200 volunteers from each district is attempted to be met and a total of 4000 FCHV's is targeted to be provided knowledge on TB infection control measures. The program will be implemented by the month of February and is expected to be accomplished by the month of June 2012.

Naya Goreto in the financial support of National Tuberculosis program and Global Fund to fight AIDS Tuberculosis and Malaria (NTP/GFATM) is implementing the project Nepal National Strategic Plan 2010-15, Stop TB Implementation strategy from July 2010. As a part of this project Naya Goreto is conducting different advocacy and orientation programs among different targeted groups and stakeholders related to TB, HIV and TB/HIV co-infection for creating an enabling environment without stigma and discrimination towards the TB/HIV co-infected and affected people. Similarly, Naya Goreto is conducting Knowledge Attitude and Practice (KAP) study on TB infection among the community people of five districts viz. Kailali, Bardiya, Rupandehi, Dhanusha and Ilam. The study is a kind of baseline survey and focused towards exploring the knowledge, attitude and practices of the community people on the TB issues. This study also focuses on exploring the perception of people on TB infection measures and towards TB infected people as well as their existence knowledge on TB. The study will be commenced from the month of February and is expected to be completed by the month of May. It is expected that the results of the study will be inferred to other districts of Nepal as well.

NayaGoreto on 11th January 2012 conducted, empowerment on human rights of the infected people for reducing stigma and discrimination against the infected and affected people promoting GIPA and MIPA priniciple at the training hall of ART center, Teku Hospital, Kathmandu. The program was facilitated by DTLO, Ms. GeetaAcharya, and Mr. Bobby Singh.?? The main objective of the program was to empower the infected and affected people on their legal and human rights for reducing stigma and discrimination towards them. Further, the empowerment program will be conducted on coming Monday, 16th January at the hall of Alka Hospital with the TB infected patients. The program will be facilitated by Ms. Geeta Acharya (DTLO) of Kathmandu and Mr. Sujan Raj Joshi from Youth Vision.

NayaGoreto as a sub recipient of National Tuberculosis Center for the project "Nepal national Strategic Plan 2010-15, Stop TB implementation strategy" will conduct several programs including orientations, Training, campaigning to various groups of the society including the infected and affected people for empowering them on TB, HIV and TB/HIV co-infection. NayaGoreto has been conducting Several programs on TB, HIV and TB/HIV co-infection with different stakeholders of Argakhanchi district. The programs included Orientation on TB/HIV to mothers group, school children, army and police, empowerment of human rights legal support and demand creation for reducing stigma and discrimination against the infected people and many more. Further TB/HIV training to PLHIV group through their existing network, Treatment Literacy and Treatment Adherence to the infected and affected group, TB/HIV orientation to patient to patient/client to patient/ client education, Establishment of support group will be conducted from Monday 16th of January onwards.

Naya Goreto in jointly organizing with Shanti Yuba Club SEWA is organizing a free General Health camp on coming Saturday, 24th September, 2011 (7 Ashwin, 2068) from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The free health camp will be organized at Chobu,Gahite,Lalitpur. The general health camp is intended to provide free health check up services to the infected and affected groups of Drug users, TB and HIV infected people and local community members of lalitpur. We urge all the general public and the infected/affected groups to have their health checked up. We request our viewers to refer the anticipated target groups in the check up program. We hope that every viewer of us co-operate with us in serving the infected/affected people and the general people.

Naya Goreto is jointly organizing General Health Camp with SEWA, one of the CBO's working for the betterment of the community on 25th of June, 2011 for celebrating World Anti Drugs Day which is celebrated each year on 26th of June. The free health camp will be organized at the Hall of Lalitpur District Sports development council, Prayagpokhari, lalitpur. It is a free general health camp and every individual can check up their health status free of cost. The program's main objective is to make helath service easier and accessible to the needy ones and who cannot afford to check up their health as well as the drug users who have limited access to free health check up. The program is targeted to provide services to the general people as well as the drug users of the concerned area who have not been accessed towards regular health checkups in promoting the health rights of the drugs users.

Naya Goreto is conducting two trainings at Kaski District. TB/HIV Training to PLHIV group though their existing network will be conducted within this month. The main objective of this training is to strengthen the capacity on TB/HIV co-infection management for PLHIV. Similarly, Treatment Literacy and Treatment Adherence training to TB/HIV co-infected will be conducted on within this month. The program is basically focused to aware the patients for their own care and demand their rights when proper care is not available to them as well as build their capacity on adherence.
