Nepal National Strategic Plan 2010-2015-Implementation Stop TB Strategy

Naya Goreto on 25th January 2011 signed a contract with the National Tuberculosis Programme (NTP) for working in the field of TB and HIV in implementing the project Nepal National Strategic Plan 2010- 2015 - Implementation Stop TB Strategy. The project duration is for three years which was commenced on 16th November 2010 and will end on 15th July 2013. The main objective of the project is to create awareness among the general people and related stakeholders on TB, HIV and TB/HIV co-infection issues. The project intends to aware the HIV infected people on TB as it is one of the most occurring opportunistic infections among the people with HIV. The project will be implemented on twenty eight districts of Nepal during the period of three years. Thus this project intends to create mass awareness among the PLHA's and the general people as well as to empower them through different programs including trainings, Orientation programs, advocacy programs etc.
